Calculating overnight shift hours

Working an 11pm to 7am shift makes the math awkward because the clock crosses midnight. Enter 23:00 as the start and 07:00 as the end, and the calculator treats the earlier end time as the next day, returning 8h 00m. It's built for night-shift workers, nurses and security staff who need accurate overnight totals for their timesheet without manually adding 24 hours.

Hours worked for a timesheet

If you clocked in at 09:00 and out at 17:30, you need the exact paid duration before logging it. Type both times and you get 8h 30m plus 510 total minutes, so you can record it however your timesheet expects. Useful for hourly employees, freelancers billing by time and contractors who must convert clock-in and clock-out times into hours for payroll or invoices.

Total minutes between two times

Some tasks need raw minutes rather than an hours-and-minutes split, such as logging a workout, a study block or a meeting length for a tracker. Alongside the duration, the tool shows the total minutes for any two times you enter, like 135 minutes for 14:00 to 16:15. That saves you multiplying hours by 60 in your head and avoids simple arithmetic slips.
