How to use Age Calculator
This age calculator finds your exact age from a date of birth, broken down into years, months and days, plus totals like weeks, days and hours lived. It counts the real number of days between two dates, accounting for leap years and varying month lengths. Students, HR teams and anyone checking eligibility for forms or benefits use it for a precise answer.

- 3Read your exact age in years, months and days along with total weeks, days and hours.
Exact, not rounded
It reports full years, leftover months and remaining days instead of a single rounded number.
Leap-year accurate
The day count respects leap years and different month lengths so February dates stay correct.
Any reference date
Calculate age as of a future deadline or a past event, not just today.
Check eligibility age on a deadline
Forms, jobs and benefits often hinge on your age on a specific date rather than today. Set your date of birth, then change the second date to the application deadline, school cutoff or scheme start date. The tool reports your exact years, months and days as of that date, so you can confirm whether you meet an age requirement before you submit.
Find a baby's age in months
Pediatric checkups, vaccine schedules and developmental milestones are tracked in months, not years. Enter your child's birth date to see their age as full months plus the leftover days, alongside a precise total-weeks figure. It borrows the real length of each month, so a baby born on the 30th or 31st is counted correctly without the rounding errors of mental math.
Count exact days you've lived
Marking a milestone like your 10,000th day, a 1,000-day streak or a precise anniversary needs a true day count, not an estimate. This calculator shows total days, weeks and hours lived between your birth date and any target date, including every February 29 in the span. Adjust the end date until the total lands on the round number you want to celebrate.
Age Calculator — frequently asked questions
How is age in months and days worked out?
It subtracts the birth date from the target date calendar-style: full years first, then full months, then the remaining days. When the day-of-month would go negative it borrows the actual number of days from the previous month, so the result matches how people count birthdays.
Does it handle leap years correctly?
Yes. The total-days figure is the true difference between the two dates, including every February 29 in the range. This is why total days divided by 365 may differ slightly from the years-months-days breakdown.
Is my date of birth sent anywhere?
No. The entire calculation runs in your browser, so nothing is uploaded or stored. It is free and needs no sign-up.
