Image Resizer is a free online tool to resize images to exact dimensions. It runs entirely in your browser, so your files never leave your device — nothing is uploaded. There's no sign-up, no watermark, and it works on any modern browser on desktop or mobile.

How to use Image Resizer

This image resizer scales pictures to exact dimensions by pixels or percentage, with an optional aspect-ratio lock so nothing looks stretched. Resize a photo down for a thumbnail, an avatar or a social post, or scale it to the precise width a page needs. It is a simple, accurate image resizer that runs entirely in your browser, so your images are never uploaded.

  3. 3Download the resized image at its new dimensions.

Pixel-perfect control

Resize by exact pixel dimensions or a percentage to hit any size you need.

No stretching

Lock the aspect ratio so images scale cleanly without looking squashed or distorted.

Runs locally

Resizing happens entirely in your browser, so your images are never uploaded to a server.

Resize a photo to exact pixel dimensions

When a site demands a precise size — a 1500x500 Twitter header, a 400x400 avatar or a 1200x630 share image — switch to Dimensions mode and type the exact width and height in pixels. Toggle off the aspect-ratio lock to force both numbers independently, or leave it on to scale proportionally to one target side. The download is named with its new size, like banner-1500x500.png.

Batch resize many images at once

Drop in a whole folder of photos and resize them together instead of one by one. Set a single percentage, say 50%, and every image scales relative to its own size while keeping its proportions. Each file processes locally in your browser, then a Download all button packages the results into one .zip — handy for shrinking a batch of product shots or screenshots in seconds.

Scale an image down by percentage

To make a picture lighter for the web or email without working out exact pixels, use Percentage mode and pick 25%, 50% or 75% — or type any value up to 400%. The image keeps its shape automatically, so a 4000px phone photo becomes a manageable size in one click. JPG and WebP stay in their format at high quality; other types are saved as PNG.

Image Resizer — frequently asked questions

How do I resize without distorting the image?

Keep the aspect-ratio lock enabled. When it is on, changing the width updates the height automatically in proportion, so the image keeps its original shape and never looks stretched.

Can I make an image larger?

Yes, you can scale an image up by entering bigger dimensions. Keep in mind that enlarging a photo beyond its original size can make it look softer, since no new detail can be added.

Is there a limit on image size?

There is no fixed cap. Because the resizer runs entirely in your browser and your images are never uploaded, performance depends on your own device, so very large files may take a moment to process.
