Add captions to an HTML5 video

If you have an SRT file but your self-hosted player needs WebVTT, drop the SRT here and download a .vtt instead. The HTML5 <track> element only reads WebVTT, which uses a WEBVTT header and dot-separated milliseconds. The converter rewrites the timestamps correctly while keeping every cue's original timing, so captions display the moment you wire up the track.

Fix subtitles that are out of sync

When captions run ahead of or behind the dialogue, load the file and use the Shift timing field to nudge every cue at once. Enter a positive number of seconds to delay them or a negative value to pull them earlier, in 0.1-second steps. The offset applies to all cues uniformly, then you export a corrected SRT or VTT without touching a video editor.
