Add up weekly hours, breaks and pay.

Loading tool…

The Time Card Calculator totals your weekly work hours and estimates pay right in your browser. Enter clock-in, clock-out and break minutes for each day, Monday through Sunday, and it computes daily hours as (out − in − break), sums them into a weekly total, then multiplies by your hourly rate. It's a free online timesheet calculator with no sign-up, no app to install, and nothing uploaded — every figure is worked out locally on your device.

How to use Time Card Calculator

This timesheet works as a seven-day grid, already laid out Monday to Sunday, so you just fill in the times you actually worked. Hours and estimated pay update live as you type — there's no calculate button and no saving step. Use 24-hour times (for example 13:30, not 1:30 PM) and enter breaks as whole minutes for each day.

  1. 1For each working day, enter the clock-in and clock-out times using the 24-hour time pickers (e.g. 09:00 and 17:30); leave days off blank.
  2. 2Type each day's unpaid break in minutes (e.g. 30 or 60) — the tool subtracts it from that day's total before converting to hours.
  3. 3Watch the per-day hours and the 'Total hours' box update instantly as you fill in each row.
  4. 4Enter your hourly rate to see 'Estimated pay' calculated as total hours times rate; leave it at 0 if you only want the hours.

Breaks handled per day

Each day subtracts its own unpaid break in minutes, so lunch and rest periods never inflate your billable weekly total.

Live hours and pay

Daily hours, the weekly total, and estimated pay recalculate on every keystroke with no calculate button to press.

Whole week at a glance

A fixed Monday-to-Sunday grid shows all seven days and their hours side by side, ready to copy onto any payroll form.

Hourly worker checking a paycheck

Before payday, copy the clock-in and clock-out times from your punches, add each shift's unpaid lunch, and compare the weekly total and estimated gross pay against what your employer reports. It's a fast way to catch a missed break deduction or a shift that was logged with the wrong hours.

Freelancer billing a client by the hour

Log the start, stop, and break for each day you worked on a project, then enter your rate to see the week's billable hours and the dollar amount in one view. Use the two-decimal daily hours straight on an invoice instead of converting minutes by hand.

Small business owner totaling staff timesheets

Run one employee's week at a time to convert handwritten in/out times into clean decimal hours for payroll. Because breaks are subtracted per day, you get an accurate paid-hours figure without manually working out 15 or 30 minutes off each shift.

Part-timer planning hours around a budget

Enter a target hourly rate and experiment with different clock-in and clock-out times to see how many hours you need to hit a weekly earnings goal. Adjusting one day's times instantly reshows the total, making it easy to plan a schedule that meets a number.

Time Card Calculator — frequently asked questions

How does it calculate daily and weekly hours?

For each day it does (clock-out minus clock-in) in minutes, subtracts your break minutes, and divides by 60 to get decimal hours rounded to two places. The weekly total is simply the sum of all seven days.

How is estimated pay worked out?

Estimated pay is total weekly hours multiplied by the hourly rate you enter, shown in US dollars. It's a flat-rate gross estimate — it does not add overtime multipliers or deduct taxes, so treat it as a pre-tax ballpark.

Does it handle overnight or graveyard shifts past midnight?

No. Each day is calculated on its own, and if the clock-out time is the same as or earlier than the clock-in, that day reads 0.00 hours. For a shift crossing midnight, split it across two days or enter the worked hours directly.

What time format should I use?

Use 24-hour time, so 5:30 PM is entered as 17:30 and 9 AM as 09:00. Breaks are entered as plain whole minutes, like 30 or 45, not as a clock time.

Is my timesheet data private?

Yes. The calculator runs entirely in your browser with no sign-up and nothing uploaded to any server. Your times, rate and totals never leave your device, and they clear when you refresh or close the page.
